Our history

In 1998 ProjektM Real Estate GmbH emerged from a sole proprietorship, that had already been providing advisory services for several years to public and private property owners in the area of portfolio valuations, as well as to project developers in the field of commercial project management.

One example of a reference project from this time is the Congress Center Messe Frankfurt (CMF) project with an investment volume of €175 million. Here, ProjektM was commissioned with the commercial project management. Following completion, ProjektM was given responsibility for the warranty management, as well as the management of the hotel (Maritim), the office building (DB Netz central office) and the underground car park (Apcoa). At the end of 1999, 49% of the shares in ProjektM were sold to the former HBAG Real Estate AG of Hamburg. The aim of the then AGIV Real Estate AG was to secure ProjektM as a local operating partner of this listed property company for the central region of Germany.

ProjektM subsequently became responsible for all operational property activities of the AGIV group in the central German region (from Göttingen, Erfurt via the Rhine-Main areas to Heidelberg, Saarbrücken and Würzburg, as of 20.03.2013). At the same time, these services were also increasingly provided for other institutional investors (eg WestInvest, DEKA, Eurohypo AG, Software AG Foundation). The employee base grew from two people in 1999 to 10 people on an organic basis.

As well as Frankfurt am Main, the company operates a further branch in Heidelberg. The company´s revenue and profits have increased accordingly. The broad range of services resulted in a good diversification of revenue based on both current earnings and transaction-related commisions. In 2011, ProjektM was integrated with the NAI apollo group.

As well as its existing clients in the area of project management, ProjektM has also won further contracts in real estate asset management and real estate investment advisory in recent years.
